About the role
- Design and implement Salesforce architectures that support complex business and technical requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into clear technical designs and implementation strategies.
- Apply Salesforce design standards and architectural best practices to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Evaluate declarative versus programmatic approaches and recommend the most effective solution based on engagement scope.
- Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation artifacts required for delivery and handoff.
- Provide technical estimates and input to support delivery planning.
- Build and customize Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and configuration.
- Review code and implementations to ensure alignment with defined technical standards and solution designs.
- Support deployments and releases across Salesforce configuration, Apex, APIs, Visualforce, and AppExchange.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during implementation.
- Design and support integration patterns between Salesforce and external systems.
- Contribute to API design, data modeling, and orchestration strategies.
- Implement or support integrations using middleware tools such as MuleSoft and Python-based services.
- Ensure data integrity, system boundaries, and integration contracts are clearly defined and documented.
- Collaborate with Kicksaw delivery team members to support cohesive solution delivery.
- Participate in technical discovery sessions and architecture discussions with client stakeholders.
- Communicate technical designs, decisions, and recommendations through client-facing meetings and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance within the scope of assigned engagements.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of Salesforce development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce architecture, configuration, and custom development.
- Proficiency in Apex, LWC, JavaScript, APIs, and Salesforce data and security models.
- Experience designing and implementing integrations using MuleSoft, Python, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as SFDX and GitHub.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with client stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate independently in consulting environments.
- Applicable Salesforce Certifications preferred.
