About the role
- - Provide up-to-date guidance to underwriters to ensure business is written in accordance with Lloyd’s domestic and international licensing arrangements.
- - Provide up-to-date guidance to underwriters and claims staff to ensure adherence to applicable financial and trade sanctions measures imposed by UN resolutions and EU, UK and US sanctions legislation.
- - Decide on a resolution of sanctions related enquiries as presented by underwriters and claims staff in accordance with the Ki Financial Crime Policy and Procedures and under the oversight of the Ki Head of Compliance.
- - Responsible for collating and preparing the monthly Compliance Reports for, and be a member of, the Ki Underwriting Governance Committee.
- - Assist the Head of Compliance in developing and maintaining a strong compliance culture throughout Ki and in line with the Group.
- - Assist the Head of Compliance to maintain adequate systems, controls and policies and policies to meet the regulators requirements.
- - Assist in circulating relevant publications and communications to all appropriate staff, including but notlimited to Lloyd’s bulletins and LMA notices as required.
- - Assist the Head of Compliance in maintaining effective relationships with the PRA, FCA, Lloyd’s and other relevant regulators and third parties.
- - Provide regulatory training to the Group employees, e.g. anti-money laundering, Sanctions.
- - To assist the Head of Compliance in ad-hoc projects as and when required.
Requirements
- - Experience of working in a relevant compliance role with a Lloyds insurer is highly desirable
- - A thorough understanding of FCA and PRA legal and international insurance compliance issues including financial crime and licensing
- - Experience in conducting risk assessments and supporting audit processes.
- - Ability to interpret and communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly.
- - Professional, confident, articulate and personable, with the skills and ability to work both on their own and as part of a team.Strong time management, prioritization and organisational skills.
- - Project management with moderate guidance and direction ensuring delivery of your work to achieve our goals and meet deadlines.
- - Able to work on own initiative.
- - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- - Able to build effective working relationships at all levels both internally and with external regulators and third parties.
