Data Scientist

• Work with other data scientists, actuaries, engineers, and commercial teams to deliver and maintain production-grade machine learning models at scale.
• Carry out regular monitoring, assessments, and optimisation of live data, models, and the underwriting algorithm to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Explore new ideas and emerging statistical, agentic and LLM, and machine learning approaches and technologies to understand how they can be embedded into the Ki algorithm or wider business processes.
• Drive improvements in the way we operate as a digital underwriting capability
• Manage and/or support the development of junior members of the team

Data Analyst

• Develop knowledge and expertise in Ki’s business domains to generate insights and measurement on initiatives that drive company objectives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics to drive commercial results and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics techniques to extract value from both internal and external data assets to enrich analytical capabilities.
• Develop and maintain the core data sets underlying the suite of analytical tools used by the team
• Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Develop scalable data solutions that conform to Ki’s technology and engineering principles and industry best practice.
• Preserve the integrity of data, making sure it is accurate, consistent, and reliable throughout its lifecycle.
• Investigate and lead timely resolution of emerging issues with underlying data systems and models as and when these arise.
• Ensure that domain data is managed and used according to Ki’s data governance policy and best practice principles.
• Ensure all data systems and models are documented in line with Ki wide standards
• Recommend ways to improve data efficiency and reliability
• Increase the degree of automation within the team’s data systems and tools
• Investigate new tools that would help the team store, structure and analyse data.

Analyst

• Assist in management and monitoring of exposures to non-natural catastrophe perils such as Cyber ensuring alignment with the businesses risk appetites and tolerances.
• Develop, validate and integrate scenario-based models and tools for assessing non-natural catastrophe risks.
• Collaborate with underwriting and other stakeholders to maintain consistent view of risk, automate workflows and contribute to analytics and decision making.
• Monitor emerging non-natural catastrophe threats, refine the organisations view of risk to incorporate latest developments and understandings.
• Produce management information reports, develop dashboards for data visualisation and support the digitisation of risk assessment process to enhance efficiency and business planning.
• Work cross-functionally with other team members to support product development and advance Ki’s view of risk across various classes of business and product offerings.
• Work cross-functionally with other team members to support the delivery of new revenue opportunities.

Senior Non-Natural Catastrophe Analyst

• To provide the relevant pricing, rollup, analytics, management information and reporting to the relevant stakeholders (e.g. underwriting and ORI placement teams) with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
• To manage the quality of exposure data and the production of data from Ki’s processing teams.
• To provide the relevant subject matter expert input into wider risk aggregation projects and deliverables (e.g. Ki view of risk and ORI).
• To interact with and maintain good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders (e.g. model vendor and brokers).
• To assist the other members of the Risk Aggregation team where necessary.
• Work cross-functionally with other team members to support product development and advance Ki’s view of risk across various classes of business and product offerings.
• Work cross-functionally with other team members to support the delivery of new revenue opportunities.
