Civil Engineer

• Conduct investigations of accidents or disasters to determine causes and contributing factors
• Evaluate structural or water damage caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, wind events, hail storms or floods
• Ensure proper maintenance & construction of affected building components & systems
• Safely access roofs, attics & crawl spaces to photo document areas of interest
• Identify and interview witnesses and/or other key parties involved
• Prepare & submit findings and recommendations that can be used to resolve insurance claims or litigation matters

Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer

Operations

• Manage a high volume of active projects while serving as a central point of coordination among team members, clients, and vendor partners.
• The role focuses on maintaining project progress, supporting clear communication, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Initiate contact with clients to confirm project scope, expectations, and timelines required for expert investigation.
• Provide timely project updates and respond to client requests by phone and email.
• Coordinate with a nationwide team of experts across multiple active assignments to meet expectations for deadlines, status updates, quality, and billing.
• Set project priorities and timelines, approve changes and adjustments, and advise MBC on project status and outcomes.
• Lead project meetings and facilitate collaboration among team members.
• Format formal documents and correspondence to ensure fonts, styles, pagination, and numbering align with Keystone’s quality-control standards.
• Prepare budgets and invoice templates, compile finalized invoices, reports, and transmit completed packages to clients.
• Use Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, XactAnalysis and QuickBase to manage data and track project activity.
• Coordinate with restoration and general contractors to support assessments, cost control, and invoice review.

Operations Supervisor – Building Consulting

Consultant

• Receive and respond to assignments promptly, typically scheduling inspections within 24 hours
• Conduct thorough onsite property inspections (often with engineers) within 7 days of assignment
• Access rooftops, crawlspaces, and other challenging environments to conduct full evaluations
• Prepare detailed photo reports, cost estimates (using Xactimate or similar), and written reports within 7 days post-inspection
• Collaborate with Keystone’s Managing Building Consultant during the review and approval process, responding within 24 hours of report feedback
• Occasionally travel to perform CAT (Catastrophe) event evaluations
• Participate in joint inspections and communicate effectively with policyholders, engineers, and claim adjusters
• Act as an expert witness, when required, and provide credible testimony based on your construction experience.

Building Consultant – General Contractor
