About the role
- Work with engineers, data scientists, and architects to plan and develop new features and structure financial systems
- Support the implementation, setup and deployment of trading algorithms
- Sign off technical approach for given use cases
- Assist product managers in planning technical solution implementations and making trade-offs
- Mentor other engineering members and participate actively in code reviews
- Review performance metrics and data analysis to identify weaknesses and optimise activities
- Ensure that processes are well documented
- Engage in technical discussions with the Architect to contribute vision and iterate global architecture
- Integrate new liquidity sources and occasionally integrate with poorly documented protocol APIs
Requirements
- At least 5 years of back end coding experience (C++, Rust, Go or Java)
- Experience with Rust is essential for this role
- Familiarity or interest with Trading
- Familiarity with financial markets and trading algorithms in orderbooks
- Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills
- Experience developing low-latency trading systems
- Passion for algo trading, crypto and DeFi
- Preference to be based in Europe time zone
- Nice to have: minimum 1 year experience in DeFi, Web3 and/or a DAO
- Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS
- Nice to have: Experience with non EVM chains
