About the role
- Architect and ship backend services that integrate with cryptocurrency SDKs
- Dissect and understand novel blockchain networks, from payloads and contract calls to consensus mechanisms
- Design and embed key generation and signing into infrastructure to support newly launched protocols
- Build fault-tolerant systems and automate workflows to eliminate manual effort
- Partner with internal and external security experts to harden software, hardware, and protocols
- Spot integration opportunities in fast-moving crypto ecosystems and lead protocol integrations
Requirements
- Proven experience running and supporting production systems at scale
- Deep curiosity for exploring blockchain networks at their most granular levels
- An automation-first mindset — prefer building tools over babysitting systems
- Based in (or willing to relocate to) Austin, Texas
- Comfortable working in an on-site environment in Austin, TX for 1-2 days / week
- Experience with technologies such as Go (Golang) and Rust (preferred)
- Familiarity with privacy-preserving systems, Layer 2s, Tendermint, Substrate, and cross-chain bridges
- Experience with Alpine Linux hardening and advanced system security practices
- Bonus: Experience with Coreboot / Heads and Reproducible Builds
