About the role
- Analyzing and researching municipal issuers and borrowers in a wide range of sectors
- Assist in gathering and analyzing all relevant financial data for a client or prospect
- Assist in modeling future financial performance of clients and prospects
- Assist in preparing a thorough credit underwriting document identifying credit risks and mitigants
- Engaging in comprehensive client and credit research
- Take part in the approval process for lending commitments, amendments, waivers, and consents
- Ensure compliance with all regulations
- Support PM teammates as needed with the review and maintenance of necessary legal documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, economics and/or business (required)
- Experience in financial analysis, borrower analysis, and preparation of credit write-ups (required)
- Experience in capital markets analysis (required)
- Proficiency in modeling financial performance and conducting financial and/or borrower analysis
- Competent with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively utilize other technology applications
- Significant experience with Excel
- Knowledge of credit metrics, risks, and mitigants
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
