About the role

  • Develop and execute the insurance strategy for KeyCorp and its subsidiaries.
  • Design and procure insurance programs, manage relationships with stakeholders, oversee claims management, ensure compliance with risk management policies.
  • Provide risk management expertise and guidance to ensure relevant risks are adequate covered by insurance and/or alternative risk management mechanisms.
  • Supervise a small team and mentor personnel in Corporate Insurance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in large-lines insurance, including executive risks, with at least some experience in insurance risk management.
  • Strong leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to develop teams and create partnerships.
  • Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts and their applicability to insurance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with a risk management information system such as Riskonnect.
  • Travel up to 5% – International travel required.
