About the role
- Establish relationships with new and existing Kennametal machine tool customers to provide solutions
- Manage and coordinate the execution of large customer projects with engineering and operations to exceed customer expectations.
- Meet sales revenue goals of growth and profitability
- Promote and implement both custom and standard Kennametal Metal Cutting solutions.
- Advocate for Kennametal to the customer, advocate for the customer to Kennametal.
- Collaborate across multiple business segments
- Grow focus products through initiative activities
- Develop and maintain customer associated data to provide consultative partnership (CRM)
- Execute growth initiative projects
- Travel approximately 50% - 75%
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in machining/metal cutting industry
- Technical training in machining and programming
- Associates or Bachelors in Engineering or related field or equivalent level of industry experience
- Strong technical understanding of metal cutting tooling
- Practical experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- CAD/CAM experience
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Working cross-functionally with customers, engineering, and manufacturing locations
