About the role

  • Lead the development and execution of the growth strategy for the Iberian market, working closely with internal teams as Product, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure sales and operational success.
  • Evaluate, enter, and scale kencko brand within the Iberian Peninsula.
  • Drive and execute sales across key channels such as Retail, Horeca and Pharma, developing and implementing tailored sales strategies for each sector, building strong partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring strategic and operational alignment between local teams in Portugal and Spain.
  • Analyze performance data and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and continuously improve operations.
  • Oversee budgets, revenue targets, and profitability for Iberian operations.
  • Adapt brand messaging, marketing, and operations to meet local market needs and regulatory requirements in Portugal and Spain.
  • Identify and manage key local partnerships, vendors, and distributors to ensure effective market penetration and growth.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of general management, international expansion, or regional leadership experience, preferably with a strong focus on sales.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing sales teams or commercial operations, with deep knowledge of the Iberian market (Portugal and Spain).
  • Strong experience in the CPG or Retail/Grocery/Convenience sectors, with a focus on direct-to-consumer sales.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on and proven success stories in launching and scaling business within the Iberian Peninsula.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with hands-on experience in P&L management and achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a strategic mindset and focus on results.
  • Proven experience in sales, with a focus on Retail, Horeca, and Pharma channels.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Iberian market dynamics, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to make fast, effective decisions in dynamic and challenging environments.
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, with excellent communication skills in multilingual and multicultural settings.
  • DTC (Direct to Consumer) experience is a plus.
  • Availability to work from our Cabra Figa office 3 times per week and travel as needed to Portugal and Spain.
