About the role
- Driving sales and business development of chemicals to paper mills within the assigned territory, with a strong emphasis on technical sales and service.
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers, while identifying and acquiring new business opportunities and applications.
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and requests.
- Monitoring market trends and utilizing the customer relationship management system to support business activities.
- Collaborating effectively with an international team of application experts.
- Meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets and developing profitable business within the market.
- Supporting in the preparation of short and mid-range sales plans to reach nominated targets and supporting the development of the demand forecast and strategies for achieving results.
- Assisting with establishing sales plans, visiting existing and new customers, assessing customer needs, improving brand and product awareness, and suggesting appropriate solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Paper Technology or Chemistry.
- Proven expertise in the papermaking process with a strong drive to translate technical knowledge into chemical sales.
- In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of the papermaking process and working experience in the paper industry.
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills with a strong customer and service orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English within the business environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel.
