About the role
- Drive Strategy & Market Growth
- Develop and implement a 3‑year sector strategy across ports, coastal and maritime infrastructure.
- Expand KBR’s presence nationally, engaging across government, defence, and private industry.
- Lead Work Winning & Client Engagement
- Identify, shape, and secure new business opportunities aligned to strategic goals.
- Lead or support major bids, working closely with internal leaders and industry partners.
- Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers across the maritime ecosystem.
- Oversee Portfolio Performance
- Provide governance and leadership across a portfolio of up to 20 projects.
- Ensure projects meet financial, delivery, safety and client expectations.
- Drive commercial outcomes, manage contractual risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Grow Capability & Culture
- Lead, mentor and influence industry leads, project directors and other delivery leaders.
- Drive recruitment, retention and development of key maritime talent.
- Champion KBR’s values and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Requirements
- Strong experience in the maritime, ports, coastal infrastructure or defence maritime sector.
- Demonstrated success in market growth, work winning and client relationship development.
- Proven capability in portfolio governance, financial performance and commercial leadership.
- Ability to lead through others — influencing, coaching and building high‑performing teams.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, backed by operational judgement.
