About the role
- Identify specific problems in the context of emerging network systems
- Develop an appropriate system model and explore the network interconnection problem through the focused lens of quality of service (QoS)
- Create a simulation environment capable of modeling networks of networks
- Devise performance metrics and methods to evaluate the metrics
- Devise and implement alternative networking approaches for comparison
Requirements
- Graduate level student (MS / PhD)
- Electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science degree program
- At least one graduate level course in Computer Networking or Wireless Communications
- Proficiency in one of C/C++, Python, or Java
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
- Letter of recommendation from graduate committee chair or graduate advisor
