💰 £70,000 - £80,000 per year

About the role

  • Our Electrical Engineers undertake a range of projects across all sectors
  • Delivery of innovation projects, taking new systems and technologies from concept through to acceptance
  • High voltage AC and DC electrical power and distribution system design
  • Energy storage and power supply specification or design
  • Managing the production, verification and approval of electrical reports, specifications, and detailed design drawings
  • Specialist equipment support, for example: generators, transformers, switchgear, cables
  • Managing a project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget
  • Client facing to develop requirements and negotiating contracts / agreements

Requirements

  • MEng in Electrical Engineering (Or equivalent experience)
  • CEng
  • Have up to date knowledge and experience in the electrical discipline
  • Electrical Design (FEED and Design Specification)
  • Development and Verification of design/substantiation deliverables
  • Transmission and Distribution
  • Industrial and Energy Micro-Grids
  • Experience with working to the requirements of ISO 9001
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mentoring and development of electrical engineers.
  • Experience of working with: DNO / National Grid, Marine Power System Design, HVDC Power Electronics, Earthing Schemes, Power Systems Asset Management, ISO 55001, Certified Power System Modelling (PowerFactory, ETAP, Amtech, Simulink), Interfacing with Regulators (ONR, Ofgem, ORR, etc), Technical leadership on projects
