About the role
- Define the visual style and direction for all brand campaigns, product launches, and content initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and objectives.
- Oversee the conceptualization, planning, and execution of high-quality photo and video content for multi-channel campaigns—including digital, print, social media, and experiential platforms.
- Work closely with Creative Directors, Brand Managers, Producers, and external agencies to develop concepts and storyboards that translate campaign ideas into powerful visual assets.
- Direct and supervise all aspects of photo and video shoots—camera work, lighting, composition, set design, and post-production—ensuring creative excellence and consistency.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for shoots, ensuring efficient use while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technology, and best practices in photography and videography as it relates to AI and continuously evolve and elevate brand storytelling.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Photography or Lead Photographer/Videographer in agency, in-house, or production company settings—preferably with a focus on campaign, content, or brand work.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership and visual storytelling in campaign or branded content environments.
- Deep expertise in camera operation, lighting, set design, composition, and post-production workflows (photo and video).
- Experience managing large-scale productions and leading creative teams.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard equipment and software (e.g., RED, ARRI, Canon, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, Visual Arts, or related field preferred.
- Ability to commit to a part-time schedule of approximately 2.5 to 3 days per week, with flexibility based on project needs.
- Bonus: Experience in lifestyle, fashion, consumer products, or luxury brands.
- Bonus: Knowledge of animation, motion graphics, or CGI.
- Bonus: Familiarity with digital and social-first content strategies.
