About the role
- Design mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, cooling, exhaust, and specialty systems for commercial and public buildings
- Design plumbing systems including gas, potable water, sanitary, sewer, fire suppression, and specialty systems for commercial and public buildings
- Undertake assignments applying standard engineering techniques for small projects or segments of larger projects
- Use experience and judgement for design, development, implementation, and analysis of engineering designs and systems
- Produce high quality, accurate, and consistent drawings
- Collect and prepare data/information and perform engineering calculations
- Develop technical specifications and data sheets
- Perform construction administration, drawing review, and response to RFIs
- Assist in field work
- Travel as needed (approximately 15% of time)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university
- 8+ years experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering
- Licensed Engineer (PE) required
- Revit proficiency, required
- Ability to travel as needed (15% of time)
- Experience with design of HVAC, ventilation, cooling, exhaust, and specialty mechanical systems for commercial and public buildings
- Experience with plumbing systems including gas, potable water, sanitary, sewer, fire suppression, and specialty systems
