About the role
- Support Michaels’ engineers, building owners, utilities, consultants, and partners to save energy and lower utility bills
- Perform energy analysis using established calculation templates
- Collect data from online or in-person sources to support engineer work
- Assist in report writing for customers
- Perform research tasks
- Develop new calculation templates and tools
- Learn from and shadow experienced engineers on energy efficiency, utilities, HVAC, industrial systems, lighting, strategic energy management, audits, RCx studies, custom rebates, electrification
Requirements
- Junior or Senior level students working towards degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Energy Engineering
- Proven strong academic background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
- Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills
- Passion for energy conservation
- Ability to travel regionally up to 30% for customer site visits
