About the role
- Project architecture & governance: Design clear project frameworks (objectives, success metrics, milestones, governance) for each innovation initiative.
- Create roadmaps and decision points (build/kill/scale) and drive project cadence (sprints, reviews, steering committees).
- Business modeling & planning: Build business cases, revenue models, unit economics and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Prepare investor‑quality decks, financial scenarios, and 12–36 month growth plans.
- Identify strategic partners, channels, and customers; negotiate pilots and early commercial agreements.
- Recommend and execute scaling plans or hand‑offs to business units.
- Customer & market validation: Run interviews, experiments, and market tests to validate problem/solution fit and customer willingness to pay.
- Define and monitor validated learning loops (hypotheses → experiments → insights).
- Product & delivery: Define MVP scope and success criteria; prioritize features and manage backlogs when acting as product lead.
- Coordinate with product and engineering to launch prototypes, pilots, and early releases.
- Execution & stakeholder management: Lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority; keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
- Report progress, risks and next steps to senior leadership; make data‑driven recommendations.
- People & process: Mentor newer innovation team members; help shape processes for ideation, incubation and scale.
Requirements
- +10 years experience in roles combining strategy, product and operations (startup founder/early‑stage product manager, strategy consultant, corporate innovation, or VC/venture builder).
- Proven track record launching or scaling new products/businesses — ideally with responsibility for business models, P&L thinking, or early sales.
- Strong quantitative skills: financial modeling, unit economics, KPI design and analysis.
- Product competency: experience defining MVPs, writing user stories, prioritizing backlogs, and working with engineering/design teams.
- Comfortable running experiments and interpreting results (A/B, cohorts, qualitative feedback).
- Entrepreneurial, bias to action, and resilient in ambiguity.
- Excellent communicator: can synthesize complex ideas into clear decisions and influence senior stakeholders.
- Customer‑obsessed and outcome-oriented.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience in digital transformation in pharma is a plus.
