About the role

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for end-users in the construction industry to achieve company targets and revenue goals.
  • Drive brand preference and/or end-user specification at large end-users in targeted verticals – construction companies, general contractors, sub-contractors, etc.
  • Establish and execute account plans at targeted end-user accounts
  • Create, plan, and implement a strategy in alignment with global sales strategy that ensures short-, medium- and long-term success.
  • Partner with product management on end-user targets and the value prop for the offerings in target verticals
  • Create and help execute cold calling/call campaigns for target end-users to create new demand
  • Partner with inside sales to penetrate to new accounts and expand within existing accounts
  • Be the subject matter expert for the construction vertical – including industry trends, customer needs, portfolio relevance/expansion opportunities, megatrends driving outsized growth in construction sub-segments (i.e., data centers, oil and gas, etc.)
  • Conduct training with manufacturing sales reps to guide them to the targeted end-users/sub-segments, identify go-to products, and uncover sales opportunities
  • Identify and partner with specialized or regional channel partners that focus on the construction vertical to assist with reaching new areas in the market

Requirements

  • Ability to travel 40% - 60% of the time
  • Proven experience (3+ years) of successful experience in selling to end-users with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience in the construction market or a related industry(ies) is preferred
  • Established selling relationships in large companies that focus on the construction industry is also preferred
  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence others outside of your reporting hierarchy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using CRM software and sales tools (Salesforce.com preferred)
