About the role
- Commission, test, and support operational technology systems for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites
- Verify communications between site equipment, plant controllers, and remote monitoring platforms
- Support installation and operation of Cameras, site WiFi, Carrier circuits, and other technology
- Diagnose and resolve OT hardware, software, and network issues in live field environments
- Support OT cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements as applicable
- Collaborate with the organization’s internal construction and operations teams during construction, commissioning, and operations of the BESS sites
- Support of multiple datacenters containing key infrastructure used for remote access, generation management, and other utility specific applications
- Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and as-built changes to IFC designs
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience working with Operational Technology associated with power, utilities, renewable energy, or heavy industrial environments such as oil and gas production/service/support
- Hands-on experience commissioning or supporting PLC and/or SCADA-based systems
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and work in outdoor, high-voltage utility environments
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
