Engineer

• Performs a variety of engineering duties including understanding customer applications, identifying issues and generating solutions, and designing, researching, and prototyping new products.
• Responsibilities include designing new products, identifying areas for improvement with existing products, maintaining high levels of product quality as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards.
• Work on a wide range of projects across various equipment.
• Perform lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, oversee manufacture and implement).
• Design product and application solutions that meet customer needs and requirements and improve customer work experience.
• Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to improve production efficiency and emerging problems.
• Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products and manufacturing methods.
• Develop, test, and assess all engineering prototypes to determine analyze data, interpret results, issues and/or risks.
• Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety.
• Maintain existing engineering records including research and activity documentation, preparing product reports, and designs.
• Estimate budget and scope of projects.
• Coordinate with other engineers, product managers, and oversee the manufacturing process of designs.
• Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
• Ensure products comply with safety standards and legal regulations; and adhere to internal employee and health/safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods.

Project Engineer

Support Engineer

• Provide technical assistance on warranty and non-warranty products through troubleshooting and machine evaluation and/or tool-related situations.
• Assist/respond timely to technical inquiries, complaints or questions from JPW stakeholders regarding the application and specifications of JPW product lines.
• Coordinate field service and assign authorization numbers to field service personnel.
• Enter work orders, monitor the repair progress and ensure all relevant files/status are up to date in the business systems.
• Keep current with product lines and cognizant of any changes to the product line.
• Correspond professionally via phone, fax, email or letter with JPW stakeholders by either fax or letter as required.
• Report to manager and relative department regarding significant or recurring problems with equipment and/or component parts.

Technical Support Technician

Outside Sales

• Lead. Install. Repair. Support
• As a Lead Technical Field Sales Lead Technician, you will be the face of JPW’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Travel to customer locations to install and repair Baileigh branded Metal Forming and Chip Making equipment, applying deep knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming.
• Review work orders, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to plan repair and installation tasks.
• Test wiring, switches, and relays, using diagnostic instruments, and replacing faulty components to ensure full operational readiness.
• Perform on-site repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance, ensuring timely response to customer needs.
• Work directly with customer representatives to verify installation requirements and provide expert guidance on equipment operation, performance, and safety.
• Conduct training sessions for customer teams, Authorized Service Centers (ASCs), and Baileigh Technicians to enhance technical knowledge and maintenance capabilities.
• Assist customers via phone or video troubleshooting for return/repair issues, ensuring efficient problem resolution and minimal downtime.
• Support revenue generation through service engagements, installations, and training services that enhance the customer experience and create long-term partnerships.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to identify technical opportunities, improve service processes, and provide feedback on product performance in the field.
• Lead responsibility for our Technical support team in day-to-day tasks and decision making alongside the department manager.

Technical Field Sales Lead Technician

Procurement

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for North America in alignment with global supply chain goals
• Function as the primary interface between US NPD teams and Asia Strategic Sourcing to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and understood
• Support global supplier evaluation, quoting, negotiation, and business award processes in collaboration with Asia sourcing
• Contribute to supplier diversification, cost improvements, and long-term sourcing strategies
• Work closely with Project Leads, Product Managers, and Engineering teams to define sourcing requirements for new product development
• Coordinate supplier involvement in design reviews and technical evaluations to ensure products meet all performance, quality, and cost expectations
• Facilitate communication between Engineering and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and capability alignment early in the development cycle
• Manage relationships with key North American suppliers and develop alternative or additional sourcing options as needed
• Provide dotted-line leadership and support to buyers at JPW’s US manufacturing facilities
• Lead sourcing initiatives for components, raw materials, fabricated parts, and related services required for domestic manufacturing operations
• Drive initiatives to improve supplier reliability, reduce cost, and support production requirements
• Conduct RFQs, lead quote analysis, and award business using total cost of ownership principles
• Negotiate pricing, tooling costs, MOQs, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, oversee onboarding, and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost
• Identify sourcing risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies in collaboration with global sourcing and quality teams
• Lead process optimization initiatives to improve sourcing efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Legal to integrate sourcing requirements and support business objectives
• Participate in engineering change management (ECR/ECN) and contribute to phase-gate deliverables in the NPD process
• Establish and track procurement KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance, on-time delivery, sourcing cycle times, and compliance metrics.
