About the role
- Support the company’s goals by executing assigned Indirect Materials purchasing tasks in line with Group Purchasing policies.
- Identify and plan Indirect Materials (IM) needs through close coordination with user departments.
- Source, evaluate, and approve suppliers, including conducting audits when required.
- Support user departments in defining optimal IM specifications
- Secure best-value agreements by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and using appropriate contract formats.
- Implement and monitor relevant global or regional agreements.
- Place and track orders, control invoices, and report agreed KPIs to the Purchasing Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher within a relevant field
- Over three years of relevant experience in purchasing in a manufacturing company
- Builds a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilizes it to achieve objectives
- Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively
- Co-operates well with others; shares knowledge, experience and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals
- Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments
- Acts on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results
- Makes an impact; convinces and persuades others; promotes plans and ideas successfully
- Experience with, and good understanding of, ERP and planning processes
- Exposure to greenfield project purchases.
