About the role
- Provide reliable, timely, efficient support to our Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team.
- Work with a diverse group of internal and external Stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Carry out commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning requirements.
- Expertise in Mechanical and Plumbing equipment/systems inspections, testing and associated commissioning activities with a strong understanding of electrical, fire protection, and control systems.
- Monitor, review, and execute all facets of Commissioning related projects by providing exceptional technical and field activities.
- Liaise with facilities management and engineering services team members, outside consultants and contractors to assist CBA in leading cross functional teams on various projects.
- Protect JLL’s contractual position and ensure our work meets contracted requirements.
- Carry out field-based commissioning activities, including site visits, developing test forms, managing execution, and performing design reviews.
- Develop and track and resolve issues using an Issues Log.
- Write detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Methods-of-Procedures (MOPs).
Requirements
- A recognized university technical degree or equivalent. Engineering Degree is preferred
- LEED AP certification
- Experience in the use of mechanical testing meters and equipment and analyze and report on test results including portable data loggers, air flow meters, TAB reports, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in testing mechanical and HVAC&R systems including chilled water plants, AHUs/RTUs/DOAS units, boilers, thermal storage systems, building management & automation systems, fire protection systems, plumbing equipment and systems, and other commercial and industrial heating and cooling systems
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering and/or field-testing experience with minimum of 5 years in providing building commissioning
- Strong data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Project, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and report against contractor (and other third party) schedule updates received.
