About the role

  • Drive HSSE culture across Canadian property management teams to meet and exceed JLL goals
  • Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions using HSE standards and best management practices
  • Manage accident/incident reporting through JLL's global CMO system
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee Environmental Site Assessments with third-party consultants
  • Develop and execute environmental (70%) and health & safety (30%) programs
  • Conduct gap analysis and audits against legal and internal requirements
  • Collaborate with HSSE Americas and Global teams to implement compliance programs and assist with building certification programs

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in a HSSE role
  • Post Secondary degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, environmental risk management, or relevant field
  • Broad-based knowledge of environmental, safety and occupational health regulations across Canada
  • Experience in managing and mitigating HSE risks related to operations
  • Ability to extract and clearly communicate key messages to peers, operations teams, executive leadership, and clients.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, global thinking, and ability to employ intelligent flexibility with pragmatic solutioning.
  • Bilingual French-English preferred. Relevant professional certification(s) a plus.
