About the role
- Operating, maintaining, and repairing building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
- Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and implementing scheduled maintenance programs
- Responding promptly to tenant service requests and building emergencies
- Troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues across various building systems
- Monitoring building energy usage and implementing efficiency measures
- Maintaining accurate logs, records, and documentation of all maintenance activities and equipment readings
- Coordinating with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
Requirements
- EPA Universal Certification for refrigerant handling
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in building operations and maintenance
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Understanding of building automation systems and controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred
- Basic computer skills for maintenance management systems and building controls
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
