About the role
- Leading and delivering multiple large-scale MEP and critical infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout, prioritizing client goals, operational reliability, and compliance
- Developing, executing, and managing project-specific strategies, budgets, goals, schedules, and detailed assumptions using proven project management methodologies
- Providing deep technical guidance and subject matter expertise for building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, emergency power, UPS, cooling infrastructure, and critical automation
- Owning master project schedules and budgets, rigorously tracking milestones, cost control, progress, and change orders
- Coordinating all due diligence activities including vendor selection, contract negotiations, risk assessments, and documentation delivery
- Establishing and maintaining strong rapport with client representatives and stakeholders as the primary point of contact, ensuring project scopes and deliverables are fully understood
- Facilitating critical project meetings, commissioning activities, and real-time communications between internal teams, external partners, contractors, and clients
- Managing vendor and project team performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and client expectations
- Identifying, managing, and mitigating risks related to project liability, operational impact, and JLL's reputation while proactively informing management of high-risk issues and developing contingency plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preference for Engineering or Construction Management)
- 5-7 years as a Project Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, mechanical, and piping, including design, construction, and systems operations
- Experience in design and management of MEP engineering and knowledge of the design process from proposal through construction phases
- Strong working knowledge of architectural and MEP drawings, pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, and project delivery methods
- Proficiency in scheduling, project accounting, and budgetary management
- Solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach, strong self-accountability, and drive
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with executive-level clients and external team members
- Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects including budgeting, scheduling, submittals, and change orders
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications and MS Project
- Project management certifications (PMP, CCM, or similar)
