About the role

  • Lead and manage complex projects within mission-critical data center environments, ensuring 24/7 operational continuity and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee technical operations including power systems, cooling infrastructure, fire suppression, security systems, and network infrastructure in accordance with JLL's mission and values.
  • Apply advanced project management skills, tools, and techniques to manage project scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk in high-stakes data center environments.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize data center operations, enhance service delivery, and maintain industry-leading uptime standards.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork among technical staff, promoting engagement and empowering team members to excel in mission-critical environments.
  • Coordinate with data center technicians, engineers, and facilities staff to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria that meet stringent client requirements for data center reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with diverse client stakeholders including IT teams, facilities managers, and C-level executives to ensure minimal impact to critical operations and alignment with business continuity objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for scope expansion and revenue growth within existing data center projects and client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data center operations, mission-critical facilities management, or technical services within high-availability environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise with data center infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, HVAC systems, fire suppression, and building management systems.
  • Strong understanding of data center industry standards, compliance requirements (SOC, HIPAA, PCI), and best practices for mission-critical operations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that optimize data center performance while maintaining 99.9%+ uptime requirements.
  • Excellent people management skills with experience leading technical teams in 24/7 operational environments.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with technical staff, client IT teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to make critical decisions under pressure in time-sensitive, mission-critical situations.
  • Current knowledge of emerging data center technologies, sustainability practices, and industry trends.
