About the role

  • Perform AC and DC electrical studies, including but not limited to: Load flow / power flow analysis, Short-circuit and fault analysis, Protection coordination, Arc flash studies
  • Utilize software tools such as ETAP, SKM Power*Tools, PSCAD, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ASPEN OneLiner, and others.
  • Develop and review study reports, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables.
  • Define project scopes, schedules, and resource requirements for study projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, utilities, and internal stakeholders to ensure studies meet technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, NESC, NERC, and applicable utility standards.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, estimating level of effort, and attending client meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience on electrical power distribution system design and commissioning
  • 5 years of experience performing electrical studies and system analysis
  • Strong proficiency in power system modeling and simulation tools
  • Working knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, IEC, NESC, NEC, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
