About the role
- Successfully manage and lead critical environment projects from inception to completion, ensuring highest quality delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and empowering individuals to achieve their best performance
- Develop comprehensive project plans, track progress, and proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues
- Track project finances, ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, and provide accurate cost forecasts
- Implement robust quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards and client expectations
- Provide technical oversight for MEP systems in data center and mission-critical facilities, including electrical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS), cooling (HVAC), and mechanical infrastructure
- Review engineering designs, project drawings, and scope of work to ensure alignment with industry standards and project requirements
- Oversee installation quality and performance testing of critical infrastructure systems
- Lead and motivate a team of construction project managers, providing support, coaching, and mentorship as necessary
- Conduct regular coaching sessions with project managers on best practices and industry knowledge
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management, with specific focus on critical environments, data centers, or mission-critical facilities
- 2+ years of professional experience in supervisory/leadership role managing direct reports
- Comprehensive knowledge of MEP infrastructure, critical environment systems, and relevant industry standards
- Strong technical expertise in MEP system design, construction methodologies, and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Technical understanding of electrical systems, cooling systems, fire and life safety, and critical infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
