About the role

  • The Branch Manager directs, promotes, and coordinates branch operations to provide outstanding customer service and optimize branch market share.
  • Ensures customers receive prompt, professional service both in person and over the phone by establishing standards and monitoring interaction quality.
  • Works directly with customers and develops relationships to establish win-win partnerships.
  • Ensures showroom merchandising and appearance contribute to sales goals.
  • Resolved customer complaints and disputes professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Fosters a cohesive and productive team through collaboration and teamwork.
  • Conducts performance reviews and provides coaching throughout the year.
  • Establishes, in conjunction with leadership, sales and profitability goals for the branch.
  • Manages branch inventory to ensure security and accuracy; oversees product returns and warranty processing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year directly managing a large team of employees in a wholesale operations setting.
  • Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Experience with OSHA safety regulations and procedures.
  • Required to lift and carry and/or move up to 50 pounds and required to lift more weight with mechanical assistance or the assistance of team members.
  • Travel – primarily by motor vehicle – may be required throughout the assigned region/geography and occasionally needed on an interstate level.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory control.
  • Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
