About the role

  • Responsible for the on-site support of the day-to-day Human Resources operations for our manufacturing plant in Denmark, WI.
  • Recruitment, benefits, HRIS, Partner relations, Partner recognition, and policy and procedure administration.
  • Support and lead training programs and ensure ongoing compliance with safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP and USDA regulatory training requirements.
  • Promote a positive working and engaged environment through multiple channels including open door communications, safety, performance management, career achievement recognition, and company communication tools.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility, accessibility, and interaction throughout the company.
  • Ensure high level of integrity is maintained and that personnel matters are handled professionally and confidentially.
  • Partner with HR Team and Operations to understand front line recruitment needs and respond with appropriate strategies.
  • Support partner appreciation programs and activities.
  • Assist HR Director and HR Manager updating written materials and create new materials as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or related field is normally required.
  • Must possess a minimum of three years of experience supporting and leading coaching and training programs, preferably in a USDA-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in the processed meat industry is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to effectively implement teaching techniques and various multimedia training methods is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health and safety laws, regulations, and standards is required.
  • Knowledge of operational and safety procedures, terminology and GMP practices within the food industry is also required.
  • Must be self-motivated and a team player, with a personal commitment to integrity, honesty, respect, quality and reliability.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English oral and written communication skills preferred.
