About the role
- Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
- Lead/manage the Region Clinical Manager, collaborating with them on the direction and development of the region clinical consultant team members
- Directs the sales performance in specified region
- Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance
- Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts
- Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
- Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
- Collaborate with cross functional departments within the organizations in order to support region growth
Requirements
- BS or advanced degree, MBA Preferred
- 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space
- 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2+ of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience
- Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external
- Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment
- Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written)
