About the role
- Lead strategic alliances within the Oncology therapeutic area (TA) of Innovative Medicine
- Leading post-deal and day-to-day alliance activities to shape and achieve the strategic objectives of the alliance
- Establishing clear communication lines across the partnership
- Anticipating and resolving potential issues
- Negotiating ancillary agreements and amendments
- Ensure the highest quality relationship possible
- Assign specific alliances within Oncology
- Lead partnership integration through launch, direction and strategic shifts, and enhancements
- Implement Alliance Management programmatic processes and tools appropriate to the scope and needs of the alliance
- Participate as a member of the joint R&D and commercial project teams
- Foster coordination and alignment of all internal and external partners
- Openly, proactively, and clearly communicate across all lines of the partnership including Senior Management
- Monitor the progress of the contract obligations and milestones
- Effectively monitor the satisfaction of the partner
- Provide input during pre-deal negotiations
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree required
- An advanced degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D., etc.) in a scientific, technical or commercial field is preferred
- A minimum of 10 years related experience, working in a scientific, technical or commercial organization is required
- Experience developing and managing timelines, budgets and similar details on multiple large-scale projects or in a significant line capacity is required
- Experience in managing and working in a team environment is required
- Proven ability to mobilize and align diverse groups across multiple functions and companies to build interdependent partnerships
- Understanding of drug development is required
- Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, negotiation, and decision making
- Experience in working with senior levels within the organization
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to manage complexities, think strategically and exercise good judgment.
