About the role
- Lead strategic alliances within the Oncology therapeutic area of Innovative Medicine.
- Lead post-deal and day-to-day alliance activities to shape and achieve the strategic objectives of the alliance.
- Establish clear communication lines across the partnership.
- Anticipate and resolve potential issues.
- Negotiate ancillary agreements and amendments.
- Ensure the highest quality relationship possible.
- Assign specific alliances within Oncology and lead partnership integration through launch, direction and strategic shifts, and enhancements.
- Implement Alliance Management programmatic processes and tools appropriate to the scope and needs of the alliance.
- Participate as a member of the joint R&D and commercial project teams to proactively foster coordination and alignment of all internal and external partners to the goals and objectives of the alliance.
- Monitor the progress of the contract obligations and milestones and effectively monitor the satisfaction of the partner.
- Provide input during pre-deal negotiations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree required.
- An advanced degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D., etc.) in a scientific, technical or commercial field is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years related experience, working in a scientific, technical or commercial organization is required.
- Experience developing and managing timelines, budgets and similar details on multiple large-scale projects or in a significant line capacity is required.
- Experience in managing and working in a team environment is required, with a proven ability to mobilize and align diverse groups across multiple functions and companies to build interdependent partnerships.
- An understanding of drug development is required.
- Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, negotiation, and decision making will be needed, in addition to experience in working with senior levels within the organization.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong communication and listening skills are required.
- Ability to manage complexities, think strategically and exercise good judgment is required.
- Experience in operations or program management is preferred.
