About the role
- The Sr Director, Plant Management serves as the primary liaison with Kenvue, the IMSC, and Commercial leadership for product supply and partnership management.
- The role drives core priorities including quality, service, safety, reliability, and cost to ensure an optimized and resilient supply chain.
- The incumbent ensures product availability, delivers high‑quality products at the lowest total cost of ownership, and maximizes partnership value through fit‑for‑purpose contractual agreements, structured account management processes, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- The role also organizes, designs, and allocates responsibilities across the organization to enable strong execution and support the strategic objectives of the Janssen Supply Chain and the Global Small Molecule Platform.
- Lead the relationship with Kenvue across all IMSC nodes within the Synthetics Manufacturing Platform.
- Drive execution of product transfers, line extensions, and supply chain optimization.
- Lead development and execution of Transition Services Agreements (TSA) and Transition Manufacturing Agreements (TMA) with Kenvue to support seamless business separation and product supply continuity.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Science required; PhD, or MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in general manufacturing (pharmaceutical, chemical, biologics, or other regulated industries) and business management (business development or procurement).
- Expertise in contract negotiation and legal considerations.
- Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of EHS&S and GMP requirements.
- High proficiency in supplier management and external manufacturing oversight.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to understand varied stakeholder needs.
- Ability to influence without authority at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex, multi-company, multicultural environments.
- Ability to foster team productivity, collaboration, accountability, and cohesion.
- Strong business acumen and team-building capability.
- Demonstrated experience delivering step-change performance, defining strategy, and managing risk effectively.
