About the role
- The VCL leads strategy and execution for new product launches
- Responsibilities include meeting IMSC deliverables for key milestones and overseeing implementation
- The VCL also manages financials, assesses risks and trade-offs
- Responsible for sourcing products and identifying future sourcing locations
- The VCL handles the identification, mitigation, and communication of supply chain-related risks
- They represent IMSC in Integrated Brand Value Teams and communicate with key stakeholders
- The VCL mentors and provides feedback to VCT members and their functional management
- The VCL oversees product performance by managing COGs and ensures compliance
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field
- Advanced technical degree (MSc, PhD) or MBA related to science or engineering preferred
- Knowledge of developing and manufacturing complex synthetic products
- Extensive experience in supply chain operations and R&D (10-12 years)
- Thorough grasp of API/DP Operations, Manufacturing, Technical Transfers, New Product Development and Launch, Quality and Regulatory matters
- Background in managing portfolios featuring complex products or projects
- Business and Financial acumen - proficiency in understanding business needs and supply chain product metrics
- Skilled in preparing cost-benefit analyses and presenting compelling business cases
- Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal
