About the role
- Design fire alarm systems for Johnson Controls Inc projects
- Organize and plan own workload and help direct workload of other design team members
- Provide stamped approval of drawings
- Facilitate reviews of initial designs of high complexity
- Coordinate with design team members to prepare detailed technical submissions
- Oversee CAD Support Technicians in the preparation of project submissions
- Complete detailed calculations to verify system design meets code and standard requirements
- Develop bill of materials
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of fire alarm design
- NICET certification is required, NICET Level 3 preferred
- Basic understanding of how mechanical systems interface with Fire Alarm
- Demonstrated ability in drafting/CAD and computer skills
- Knowledge of multiple electronic building systems a plus.
- Effective written and oral communications
- Attention to detail.
