About the role

  • Plan and deliver on key engineering and process development for mechanical equipment’s and systems for strip processing lines
  • Develop and sustenance of engineering equipments, processes and systems
  • Meeting the targets around Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Innovation mindset to bring in new designs to improve functionality and reduce cost
  • Lead and plan engineering activities for the team.
  • Understand the technical contract requirements and develop basic and detailed design for the same
  • Lead team of engineers and draftsmen to carry out engineering activities
  • Ensure timely completion of the activities
  • Making design calculation
  • Preparation of 3D models, related drawing, and other documentation for engineering
  • Generating bought out specifications and approving the offers received from suppliers
  • Ensure correctness of the drawings

Requirements

  • BE/B TECH in Mechanical / Production Engineering from Reputed college
  • 10 to 15 years of Experience in engineering design of terminal equipment related to steel processing, cold rolling mill or related to Mechanical equipment & machines (material handling, heavy engineering)
  • Ability to bring innovation in design to improve functionality and reduce cost.
  • Should have worked in Product Data Management Tools (like Vault)
  • Auto CAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor for 3D Modelling
  • Engineering drawings skill and Mechanical design calculations knowledge.
  • Should have worked on PID and have knowledge of instruments used in process lines.
