About the role

  • Lead the non-medical practice team
  • Act as a liaison between the medical leadership, MVZ staff and executive management
  • Ensure timely and correct cross-disciplinary billing (GKV - statutory health insurance, PKV - private health insurance, IGeL - individual health services), including daily financial checks
  • Serve as point of contact for the team of medical assistants (e.g., duty scheduling, conducting job interviews, onboarding and employee appraisals)
  • Provide leadership for overall practice organization (e.g., ensuring smooth treatment workflows, optimizing practice processes, quality management)
  • Coordinate appointments, handle correspondence, and prepare and follow up on meetings
  • Participate in and help shape the digitization of processes and workflows
  • Work closely with the MVZ team and other interfaces/stakeholders

Requirements

  • Completed training in the healthcare sector (e.g., MFA - medical assistant, nursing, MTA - medical-technical assistant, medical office assistant) and/or a comparable degree (e.g., health management)
  • Relevant professional experience in medical practices, particularly in practice organization, practice management and billing — ideally in the field of oncology
  • Initial experience in a leadership role, practice management or staff supervision
  • Solid MS Office skills and strong IT affinity, including experience with modern practice software systems
  • Very good knowledge of billing according to EBM and GOÄ
  • Responsible, independent and structured working style
  • Strong team skills and high self-motivation
  • Enjoys communication and is able to remain calm in challenging situations
  • Willingness to travel between MVZ locations
