About the role
- Pre- and post-operative preparation of the operating room
- Relief/floater duties between departments
- Assisting as a scrub tech for minor and complex surgical procedures
- Specialized hygienic and aseptic working practices
- Handling and operating medical technology and equipment
- Professional care and accompaniment of patients
- Work locations within our hospital include the operating department with endoscopy/bronchoscopy and the recovery room, central sterile services, an inpatient ward and the outpatient clinic.
- Assignments at external hospitals provide an expanded insight into the surgical specialties.
Requirements
- Secondary school leaving certificate (e.g., Realschule) or lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss)
- Completed vocational training (at least 2 years) or completed nursing assistant/auxiliary training (at least 1 year)
- Interest in medical subject matter
- Enjoyment of working with modern technology
- Organizational skills and ability to work in a team
- Empathy and strong communication skills
- Sense of responsibility
- Experience using a PC
- Medical fitness/health suitability
