About the role

  • Identify, acquire and personally steward major donors, foundations and funding institutions
  • Build, expand and maintain a strategic network of relationships
  • Recruit and support multipliers and advocates
  • Co-design and further develop our major gifts strategy
  • Work closely with executive management and project-responsible departments

Requirements

  • A completed university degree
  • Further training in fundraising, e.g., Fundraising Akademie gGmbH or equivalent
  • At least five years of professional experience in fundraising—ideally with a focus on major gifts
  • Strong affinity with topics in medicine, nursing, diaconal work and the church
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy and a confident manner when engaging with donors
  • A very good command of the German language, both written and spoken
  • Performance- and service-orientation, team spirit and resilience
  • Willingness to undertake regular business travel within Germany
