About the role
- You will learn the careful preparation, assistance, and follow-up of surgical procedures, gradually growing into a responsible role within the OR team
- During your training you will practice the proper preparation of instruments and materials and learn to maintain an overview even in stressful situations
- Early on you will take on tasks as the instrument nurse/technician or as a circulating assistant in the operating theatre and experience firsthand the importance of teamwork and communication
- Under the guidance of experienced professionals you will support the OR team during operations and develop a sense for precise and anticipatory work
- You will be thoroughly taught hygiene and safety standards so that you can already make a significant contribution to patient safety during your training
Requirements
- You hold either a secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss) or a lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) combined with at least a two-year completed vocational training
- You demonstrate a strong willingness to learn
- You are characterized by an open personality and the ability to work independently, as well as high social and communication skills and a friendly, confident demeanor
- The ability to help shape change processes and openness to cooperative, trust-based collaboration within an interdisciplinary team are additional advantages
