About the role
- Research, explore, and execute visual design and illustration for AR appearance (makeup) and/or interactive effects optimized for the global market
- Present concept idea deck to key stakeholders in live teleconference
- Problem-solve and iterate to address client feedback and explain design decisions and best practices
- Create and deliver effect files based on client specs and industry best practices
- Use effect creation tools to create and test assets
- Animate gif samples on 2 to 3 different models with different skin tones/environments
- Track all ongoing work in an up-to-date document and provide regular client updates
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and engineers
- Full-time remote temporary engagement through 2025-12-31
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent practical experience
- 5-7 years of experience as a visual or graphic designer
- Experience in digital illustration (Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate)
- Proven experience in Appearance Effects and Motion Graphics with a strong portfolio
- Experience/expertise in Cosmetics and Make Up Effects
- Experience with effect creation tools like Effect House or Lens Studio
- Strong understanding of design principles (typography, color theory, composition, visual hierarchy)
- Background in 3-D animation is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Stay up-to-date with prompt engineering and visual AI research and developments
