• Build high-quality 3D environments - including terrain, architecture, environmental assets, foliage, and set dressing - aligned with the game’s artistic vision.
• Contribute to the overall mood, storytelling, and visual identity of environments through composition, lighting collaboration, and detail work.
• Integrate assets into the game engine, ensuring they perform well within real-time constraints.
• Work closely with designers, other artists, and engineers to ensure environments support gameplay objectives and performance requirements.
• Balance visual fidelity and performance using standard and creative optimization techniques for environmental assets, terrain, and materials.
• Help refine environment art pipelines and tools to increase quality and efficiency across the team.
• Participate in frequent reviews, implementing feedback to uphold a high-quality bar across all environment assets.
• Work with the other leaders on the team to manage timelines, ensure deadlines are met, and identify any resource needs or roadblocks in production
• Provide feedback and mentorship to other artists, contributing to a collaborative and growth-focused team culture

Senior Environment Artist

• Design and create visually striking real-time VFX for characters, environments, and gameplay mechanics
• Ensure all VFX align with the project’s artistic direction, visual language, and gameplay needs - in collaboration with the art director
• Integrate VFX into the game while optimizing for performance on target platforms
• Partner with designers, animators, engineers, and other artists to ensure VFX enhance gameplay clarity, storytelling, and overall player immersion
• Work with the other leaders on the team to manage timelines, ensure deadlines are met, and identify any resource needs or roadblocks in production
• Receive and apply feedback from art director and design, iterating on VFX to achieve the desired quality and performance
• Provide feedback and mentorship to other artists, contributing to a collaborative and growth-focused team culture
