About the role

  • Work closely with project managers, consultant engineers, utility providers and local authorities
  • Track project progress through overseeing construction team’s effective management
  • Work with construction team to create and maintain Master project schedule
  • Oversee the entire project management process
  • Ensure construction team identifies opportunities to reduce overall costs
  • Recognize potential conflicts or issues and facilitate solutions
  • Review major trade/supplier contracts before finalization
  • Provide monthly updates to senior management
  • Maintain relationship with other operational leaders

Requirements

  • 10 years of combined experience in construction and project management as part of a general contractor in a senior position
  • Heavy civil and concrete experience is preferred
  • At least five (5) years of experience managing/supervising a project team of varying levels of experience
  • Ability to promote a culture and collective goal of client satisfaction with the team
  • Proven record and ability to execute exceptional work on time and within budget
  • A strong personal network of construction and trade professionals
  • Professional communication skills - both oral and written, with the ability to manage conflict effectively
