About the role
- Oversee a portfolio of affordable housing apartment complexes
- Ensure the operational and financial success of multiple properties at a regional level
- Implement and maintain property management strategies to achieve revenue goals
- Keep FWM senior management apprised of all key property, personnel and resident issues
- Hire, train and supervise property managers and property maintenance and housekeeping staff
- Conduct Quarterly Site Visits in order to conduct audits, inspections, and support on-site teams
- Oversee finances and compliance, managing projects, and ensures goals are met
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, laws, and company policies
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and curb appeal
- Handle escalated tenant issues with professionalism and efficiency
- Collaborate with corporate teams on strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of management experience within industry
- Must have expert level knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, and Section 8 compliance
- Must be skilled in budget planning with a large portfolio and proven ability to lead and mentor team members
- Strong communication, financial, leadership and negotiation skills required
- In-depth knowledge of property management practices within multi-family including proficiency in property management software
- Ability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues in a timely manner
