About the role
- Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial reporting, including journal entry preparation and supporting year-end audits and tax filings
- Contribute to a smooth and timely month-end and year-end close process
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany account balances
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively and timely
- Prepare cash reconciliations for both U.S. and international accounts and address reconciling items
- Conduct variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets to provide insights for decision-making
- Participate in annual consolidated audits and assist with international statutory audits and tax filings
- Prepare and file tax-related forms (e.g., personal property tax returns)
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, recommend solutions, and support implementation while ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Research technical accounting matters and draft internal memos to support business needs
- Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Project Accounting teams to ensure alignment with accounting policies and financial reporting
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA strongly preferred, but not required)
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, foreign currencies, or international accounting is a plus
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
