About the role
- Develop, implement, and monitor company organizational sustainability and energy strategies.
- Communicate plans and formulate budgets ($42M/year) and develop strategies to Department VPs and pillar team leaders.
- Develop forward strategy for procurement of utilities to obtain favorable rates, terms, and conditions.
- Analyze building systems to determine sustainability opportunities and suggest changes to operations and configurations.
- Direct, plan, and manage the Sustainability and Energy Program in alignment with university and hospital goals.
- Organize and coordinate services provided, oversee operations, and manage staff and budget in accordance with TJU policies and procedures.
- Work on interdisciplinary teams and projects to further overall organizational goals.
- Calculate building heating and cooling loads and work with water cooling towers, steam plants, building automation system, and energy conservation devices and techniques.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Five to ten years’ experience in HVAC and building system analysis and design, preferably with a related institution or plant operations.
- Good understanding of Sustainability practice.
- Must be able to calculate building heating and cooling loads.
- Good written and oral presentation skills required.
- Familiarity with water cooling towers, steam plants, building automation systems, and energy conservation devices and techniques.
- Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring organizational sustainability and energy strategies.
- Experience formulating and managing budgets (example stated: $42M/year) and managing staff.
