  • Be a Strategic Partner: Collaborate with leaders to align HR strategies with business goals and drive organizational success.
  • Support Geographically Dispersed Teams: Provide HR guidance to employees and managers across multiple geographies, ensuring consistency while respecting local requirements.
  • Champion Talent & Engagement: Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and development, including onboarding, career growth, and recognition programs.
  • Drive Recruiting Excellence: Partner with our Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to attract and onboard top talent for critical defense programs.
  • Enable Workforce Planning: Use HR data and analytics to forecast staffing needs, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
  • Manage Employee Relations: Address concerns, conduct investigations, and provide coaching to managers for effective resolution.
  • Optimize HR Processes: Maintain accurate HRIS records, streamline workflows, and support technology-driven improvements.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws, including Department of Labor wage and hour regulations, with emphasis on Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis-Bacon Act (DBA) requirements.
  • Lead Projects: Participate in HR initiatives and special projects that impact global operations, from policy updates to change management efforts.
  • Educate & Empower: Deliver training and resources that help managers lead effectively and employees thrive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist and/or business partner capacity.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. employment/labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO; NLRA a plus);
  • Experience handling employee relations investigations and coaching managers.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee development/engagement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and the MS Office suite;
  • Comfort with HR data/analytics and reporting (Excel, dashboards, KPIs).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Preferred Qualifications: HR certified (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting environments; familiarity with ITAR/EAR considerations is a plus.
  • Exposure to SCA/DBA wage determinations and compliance (helpful, not required).
  • Experience supporting multi-site/global teams; cultural fluency and comfort with distributed workforces.
  • Labor relations exposure (grievance handling, contract interpretation, or collaboration in unionized settings).
  • Experience with enterprise HRIS (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors) and HR process improvement or automation.
