About the role

  • Work directly with a designated group of contract pork producers to assist them in troubleshooting problem areas and provide solutions for improving production
  • Help manage customer relationships and provide documentation of on-farm reports
  • Work with your Business Manager to arrive at solutions and make decisions impacting your area and business unit profitability
  • Aid producers in maximizing production through farm visits, producer meetings, and information sharing
  • Manage 20-25 producer sites consisting of 50-100,000 pig spaces
  • Help manage the producer relationship and assist in contract renewals

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Agriculture, related field, or 5 years’ equivalent experience in pork production
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Occasional travel - 15%
  • Ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve high goals
  • Possess Problem Solving Techniques
  • Demonstrates knowledge of overall business strategy and operations
  • Possesses proficiency in spreadsheet, database, word processing software
  • Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and lift approximately 60+lbs
